Judge Susan R. Burch is a district court judge for Guilford County, North Carolina, holding court in both Greensboro and High Point.
A native of Bat Cave, North Carolina, she graduated from Wake Forest University in 1989 with a BA in Economics and a minor in Political Science. After working for several years in Winston-Salem, she returned to Wake Forest and earned her Juris Doctorate from the Wake Forest School of Law in 1995.
Judge Burch worked as an attorney in both the private and public sector prior to being elected to the district court bench in 2000. She has held court in all the areas of district court. Her current assignment is to both criminal and civil courts in High Point and Greensboro. She is one of the three judges designated to hear division of marital property cases and regularly hears family law matters involving child custody and support.
